Low-carbon flexible printed circuit board technology is a new type of circuit board manufacturing process, featuring the following characteristics:

- Utilizing biodegradable biological materials as the substrate reduces environmental pollution and resource consumption.

- Using flexible conductive ink as the circuit layer enhances the flexibility and reliability of the circuit board.

- Achieving precise circuit pattern production through digital inkjet printing technology saves materials and energy.

- Applicable to various low-power, low-cost, wearable and implantable electronic devices.

Optibar Technology announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Japanese startup Elephantech. The two parties will jointly promote the application of innovative low-carbon flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) technology in commercial development. Optibar Technology will provide professional guidance and leverage its extensive global ecosystem resources to further accelerate the practical application of Elephantech's innovative flexible printed circuit board technology in products and processes, thereby expanding the international market.

Energy conservation and carbon reduction have become a trend of the times. Light-up Technology, which set a clear SBT carbon reduction target as early as 2019, not only actively reduces the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on the environment, but also focuses on low-carbon in its research and development. By increasing the proportion of recycled materials and reducing material usage, it responds to low-carbon sustainability and comprehensively enhances carbon competitiveness. Light-up Technology states that the ultimate goal is to hope that all of its next-generation products can move towards a 5% carbon reduction target.

In line with this goal, Liteon announced the establishment of the "LITEON+ Startup Platform" in July this year, aiming to support new startups and stimulate more new business models. Through the "LITEON+ Startup Platform", a cooperation memorandum was successfully signed with the Japanese startup company Elephantech. Liteon pointed out that the signing ceremony of the cooperation memorandum was held in Tokyo recently, presided over by Helio Sakaya, the general manager of Liteon's Japanese branch, and Shinya Shimizu, the CEO of Elephantech. In the future, Liteon will provide professional guidance and integrate its abundant global ecosystem resources to further accelerate the practical application of Elephantech's innovative flexible printed circuit board technology in products and processes, in order to expand the international market.

Optibar further elaborated that in 2019, it had set clear SBT carbon reduction targets, actively reducing the environmental impact of greenhouse gas emissions. In research and development, low-carbon was taken as the core, aiming to achieve a 5% reduction in carbon emissions for all future Optibar products. At the same time, it increased the proportion of recycled materials and reduced material usage to respond to low-carbon sustainability, comprehensively enhancing carbon competitiveness. Optibar stated that through the signing of this cooperation memorandum, it hopes to work with ecosystem partners to accelerate the development of low-carbon sustainable materials and processes, further expanding the sustainable influence to the supply chain, creating common advantages and seizing the initiative for low-carbon transformation, and based on this, creating a second growth curve to accelerate the supply chain towards net zero carbon emissions, achieving a win-win situation of carbon reduction for Optibar and its supply chain partners.
