Describe：The KO-CAP® series of polymer tantalum capacitors use a highly conductive polymer cathode material instead of the traditional manganese dioxide (MnO₂) to achieve extremely low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and higher ripple current tolerance. This device is a standard molded surface mount type, using a 2917 package (7343 metric), with a capacitance value of 150µF, a withstand voltage of 16V, and an ±20% capacitance tolerance. This capacitor is specifically designed for modern electronic systems that require high power density and excellent filtering performance. It can maintain extremely low impedance in high-frequency switching power supplies (DC-DC converters), effectively suppressing voltage ripples and responding to transient load changes. Its KO-CAP technology offers a longer service life and better reliability compared to traditional liquid or solid tantalum capacitors, and its failure mode is resistive and non-catastrophic, simplifying circuit protection design.
