Describe：MAX232CPE+ is a classic RS-232 dual-channel driver/receiver (transceiver) product launched by Maxim Integrated (now ADI), featuring a 16-pin PDIP through-hole package. This device generates the ±10V voltage levels required for RS-232 communication internally through an internal charge pump circuit, without the need for an additional ±12V power supply, using a single +5V power supply. This chip contains 2 drivers and 2 receivers, supporting full-duplex communication with a data rate of up to 120 kbps. The receiver input has a 500 mV hysteresis, enhancing the anti-noise capability. Only 4 0.1 µF to 10 µF capacitors are required externally to complete the charge pump circuit, significantly simplifying the design. It is packaged in a 16-pin PDIP N type with a size of 19.43mm × 7.87mm. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C (for commercial grade), and the power supply voltage is 4.5V to 5.5V.
