Describe：The TBU-CA025-500-WH is a high-speed surge protector from Bourns, part of the TBU® (Transient Blocking Unit) series, packaged in a DFN surface-mount format. Belonging to the TBU-CA family, this device is a low-capacitance, bidirectional, high-speed protection component based on MOSFET semiconductor technology, specifically designed to safeguard sensitive electronic equipment against failures caused by short circuits, AC power crossover, induction, and lightning-induced surges. The core operating principle of this protector is that when the current in the system circuit exceeds the 500mA trigger threshold, the internal MOSFET detection circuit activates within 1µs, blocking the circuit and providing an effective barrier for downstream sensitive electronic components, protecting them from high voltage or high current surges during transient events. It can block surges up to its rated limiting value and automatically restore normal operation after the surge event. The device has a maximum operating voltage of 100 VAC and can withstand up to 250 V of impulse voltage.
