According to data from TechInsights, the global automotive semiconductor market size is expected to grow to 74.4 billion US dollars in 2025 (69.9 billion US dollars in 2024 [2]). Infineon has once again topped the market this year after reaching the top position for the first time in 2020, with a market share of 12.8% (13.2% in 2024 [2]), and has further widened the gap with the second-place market player.

In the crucial automotive microcontroller (MCU) sector, Infineon has once again significantly expanded its leading position. By 2025, Infineon's market share in this field rose to 36.0%, an increase of 3.9 percentage points compared to the previous year, further widening the gap with its competitors.
